Under general supervision, support and troubleshoot all telecommunications, server and network infrastructure. Optimize servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported. This includes designing, installing, configuring, administering, and fine-tuning systems and components across the organization in a timely and efficient manner. Perform day-by-day server management including security, resource monitoring, preventive maintenance, reporting, updates and patches and troubleshooting. Required: - Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar technical field plus at least four (4)years directly related experience or a Master's plus at least six (6) years directly related experience. - Experience in Windows Server OS and infrastructure platforms, such as Active Directory. - Experience in VMware operating system. - Experience in Group Policy Management, backup systems, patch management and security utilities/systems. - Familiarity with various network protocols. - Experience with disaster recovery planning, implementation and support. Preferred: - Experience with Symantec NetBackup. - MCSE 2003; additional equivalent certifications will be considered.
