AUSTIN, Texas — Feb. 2, 2016 — PeopleAdmin, a leader in talent management software for education, today announced that University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has chosen its SelectSuite solution to further support faculty effectiveness and advance its academic mission.
According to Janice Ward, faculty affairs manager at UAB, the university needed an applicant tracking system specifically built for a higher education setting.
“We knew that having a robust online applicant tracking system is the starting ground,” Ward said. “If we can help our faculty, then that will help us accomplish our greater mission.”
Kermit S. Randa, CEO of PeopleAdmin, said he is “excited and honored” to welcome UAB to the company’s fast-growing customer base. The company, founded in 2000, serves a third of all educators and administrators across the U.S. education spectrum, who in turn serve more than 30 percent of all students in America.
Randa said that today’s higher education institutions constantly struggle to recruit top faculty and staff, assess employee performance, leverage available data, and adopt technology strategies that drive down costs and deliver desired student outcomes.
“On top of that, successful schools want to create stronger workforces through greater equality, diversity and inclusion, and they want tools that aid employee advancement,” Randa said. “Institutions like UAB see the competitive advantages of faculty and staff who can bring diverse worldviews, a wide range of ideas, and the ability to teach to multiple ways of learning.”
