The Teacher Educators Professional Inventory (EPI)® is a first-of-its-kind assessment tool that allows schools and districts to predict the impact teacher candidates will have on student achievement.
Backed by a research consortium consisting of highly skilled psychometricians, predictive modeling specialists, and Ph.D.s from various disciplines, the Teacher EPI ranks candidates based on four core success indicators that identify highly effective teachers who deliver student growth:
The first phase of our research involved creating items of varying types that were tagged to one or more of the our success indicators. We selected predictors that empirical research, education theory, and professional standards have deemed significant. EPI measures the correlation between responses to assessment items and the likelihood that that candidates will generate a particular degree of student growth.
